Sew, what's up!

I am going to learn how to sew!  I have always wanted to.  In order to get this new adventure in motion, I have already signed up for a "bootcamp" 4 class sewing tutorial.  My mother in law has an old Singer 348 that I'm going to have checked out.  I am so excited to do this.  One of my ambitions is to design and make clothes for my son.  Classes aren't until April, sew I'll be researching and collecting project ideas until I'm a seamstress!  lol

Baby makes 3!

Our family has grown. We have a son, Dillon! He is everything wonderfully exhausting. It is a whole new life, each day is a new adventure just watching his every move. We couldn't be happier, well maybe if we were 4!

Wedding Day

August 28, 2008! The day went off without a hitch...well we got hitched :) Everything was amazing, and I couldn't of asked for better weather. After all the work and stress involved I actually was sad to see it all come to an end :( My party was over, but my life with my hubby has just begun and to date my life is complete.

Nude Beach

Ha, ha! My fiance and I are looking for one in the New York area. I don't know why, but I am not the slightest bit nervous about this. I think it will be a very liberating experience...now if I can just put my "people watching" aside. After the experience, I'll keep you posted.

5 Blessings

Health, Wealth, Happiness, Fertility, and Longevity. These are the five blessings I have found out recently are represented by those sugarcoated almonds one finds at weddings. To be honest, I never knew this and don't really like almonds that way. Since I am getting married one comes accross these tid-bits of information on the numerous sites found on the web. My soon to be be sister in law asked me if I was having them at wedding, my first reaction was no. Now that I know what they mean, of course they will be there tucked away in the favor to bless my new life with my husband. Yesterday, while my fiance headed off to the Yankee game I went to an art's and crafts store. I picked up some beads, leather cord, and a magazine on knotting. I have wanted to try my hand at making jewelry for a little while now. Quite by accident, I designed a pendant. Five circles, one large one, and stacked on top four smaller ones. Then it hit me, this is the five blessings necklace! I affectionately call it the B5, so coming soon check it out at www.5blessings.net, and blessings to you all~

So, for the first time in my life my Mother has written to me! Long story short, I recenlty found her, she left my father when I was young, 2 years or so. I have a sister too, different fathers! I have taken to her quite quickly. She lives in Wales with her husband and hounds. I will need to take a trip soon to meet her. I am getting married, she is pregnant so late next year sometime. The card my mother sent me was quite interesting, and the print of Bonnie (artist Sara Singh) very much looks like me. My fiance Joe thinks so. What do you think??

Wedding Countdown

All is almost in place for our Late Summer Wedding (8/28/08)! I am getting more and more excited as the weeks seem to be flying by. I know the day will be here and gone in a flash, so I am making sure to enjoy the planning as much as possible. I know it can be stressful, budgets, guest lists (who to invite, who to cut), but at end of the day, and hopefully for the rest of our lives we will look back and know we did the best we could to make the day as special and memorable for us and our loved ones. Not everyone one will be there in body, but they will surely be there in spirit!

Moving

I am moving in with my guy! I am thrilled, excited, and stressed. The stress comes from the actual move. The sorting, purging, and packing is a daunting task. I wish I could just wiggle my nose like Samantha and have it all done! I know once it is accomplished I will look back and these weeks leading up to the move will be a distant faded memory...but for now I want to cry! Who knew one could accumulate so much and squeeze it into a small apartment. I have made a promise to myself not to collect and buy unneccassary odds and ends for the new place, even though I already have a list of what is needed...LOL! Oh well, let the games begin.

My love / hate relationship!

It's Friday the best day of the week...or is it? For me it is a love / hate relationship! I am at work and all I can think about is that country song, It's 5 o'clock Somewhere. Friday is the last day of my long and torturous work week, unfortunately, it is also the longest and most torturous day of the week. I mean do folks finally wake up on Friday and realize, "Oh Shit" I did nothing all week, I better get it done today! It then lands on my lap, out of their hands, and my now finally finished to do list for the week is fattened up for Monday. It is becomming a vicious cycle , but hell it is Friday :)

So great, wonderful, now what?

I have read blogs online and thought how cool it would be to have one of my own! My boyfriend created one and set me up (thanks honey). So great, wonderful, now what? What does one write about? My usual move is to go online and do a little research, and of course I have already done this a few times. I am finding that THIS IS NOT EASY! I mean, who wants to read about my everyday activities, or my opinions and views on what is going on here at home and around the globe. Therefore, I have decided to treat my blog for now as a diary. I will fill it with my day to day (maybe too ambitious) Pomp and Circumstance. Well, for today this just about covers it. Together lets see where if anywhere this goes. Cheers.
